Yes. And the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s. After the 80s, there was no music until the 2010s and 2020s. Just send 'da money.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYI love our bands style. I’d be so disappointed if they tried to be something else. I would like to see the high stepping return.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYWith a larger band you can have more parts, more harmony, more instruments. Bring back high step if you want but command the field with size and sound.
Now, we have a big stage band. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYAgreed. 200 marchers would be impressive. Maintain that Mustang Band sound. Just beef-up the membership. Administration has got to sell it and the help of big donors is essential.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYYes, as stated above... 200 and strong.
10 k time 200 for a special booster. Gets to conduct Varsity! Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYYou will be doing good to get them up to 98 guys and a doll which was their moniker in the 60s.
Unique band with a great tradition ![]() ![]() May the forth be with us.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAY
96 guys and a doll. Not 98 or 99. The current problem is there are only 80 marching and 20% of those are saxes. The sound balance just isn't there. If you had 96 members with 12% saxes, you would hear a dramatic difference in sound. Just send 'da money.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYBalance the sound with 200 marchers and let the good times roll.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYMy God this discussion makes me realize I'm old enough to remember when the band was all male.

Fast Times!
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAY
Ahhh, the good old days. The 96 sounded like 156 or more.
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYKnew the ZTA gal who brought the issue before the Student Counsel to change the moniker from "96 guys and a doll".
Glad women got a chance to play in the band. Bring more brass! stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: LET THE BANDS PLAYperuna81, who was she? I graduated in ‘81 and might know her. I do believe that the first girl in the band also was in that class.
