Re: Shake Milton on the moveHope Shake gets more minutes and becomes an important part of his new team.
Re: Shake Milton on the moveIf he saves that money, he’s set for life. Congratulations on your contract.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Shake Milton on the moveSure hope Shake is a smart man. Yes, he could be set for life.
Somebody like the Gardner Group would take care of him. I know there are many in the SMU family, but Greg was my family's choice. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Shake Milton on the moveHe is a smart guy. You can bet he and his agent had a team of financial people around him before he signed his first contract.
There were times that it looked like he was forcing his way into a bigger role in Philly. Hope he gets that chance in Minnesota.
Re: Shake Milton on the moveI don't know him but also have the impression he's a bright enough guy to save/invest wisely to set himself up for a very comfortable life after his playing days are over.
Re: Shake Milton on the move
I don't think that was his fault. Tyrese Maxey's emergence is what took most of his minutes away.
Re: Shake Milton on the move
I've always wondered whether Shake and Tyrese might have played in the same backcourt at SMU if Larry Brown had been retained
Re: Shake Milton on the moveAnthony Edwards obviously is a star, but is there anyone else in the Minnesota backcourt who is guaranteed a bigger role? Mike Conley has been good for a long time, but he's 153 years old. Hopefully Shake will get a chance to shine.

Re: Shake Milton on the moveThrough 4 pre-season games, Shake has played in all 4 games, started one game, averaged 20 minutes per games and 8 points per game on 61% shooting including 44% from three. He's averaging 2.3 boards and has 14 assists vs 6 turnovers but he's the # 5 guy on the current depth chart. Hope he moves up but 20 minutes per game off the bench is not bad and those kind of numbers should make him a valuable guy off the bench.
Re: Shake Milton on the moveNot doing any better here

Re: Shake Milton on the move
Season is young. Shake got more minutes as guys got injured and showed to be a very capable guy off the bench. I think that's what will define his career
Re: Shake Milton on the move
I never understood why people don't just put all the lion's share of their money in the S&P500 then a little bit in a savings or mm fund that's returning 5% now. Is it really more complicated than that? Honest question as I am not the master of finance or anything close.
Re: Shake Milton on the move
That's been my approach along with a diverse bond fun and it works pretty well for a conservative investor. Mix in a few favorite individual stocks if you have money to play with. Hopefully Shake is capable of managing his money himself or has a trusted relationship if he wants to pay higher fees for someone else to manage his money.
Re: Shake Milton on the moveHow can you buy a 19 bedroom house doing foolish things like that?
