I agree and based on how they operate they absolutely will put Liberty above us. I’m going to enjoy this though & not get mad at the committee….until their decision comes out.highlander wrote:Honestly, I no longer give a crap about the CFP, because regardless, we have no mathematical chance of being the champion. The system is so stupid.
I'm just glad we did what we were supposed to do. If they don't let us in because we made the mistake of scheduling P5 teams, so be it.

Also, if the CFP puts Liberty in, that will be an incentive going forward for schools to schedule weak inter-conference opponents. Is that really what the NCAA wants?soccermom wrote:I agree and based on how they operate they absolutely will put Liberty above us. It was so great seeing all the cocky Tulane fans hoot and holler after Tulane's first score. Then seeing the worried look at half-time, when they realized that SMU is BETTER than their team. Then seeing their utter despondence at the end.
Way more satisfying than if we had done it in Dallas.

Tulane had only 31 yards rushing! 1.2 yards a carry! Phenomenal!

Watching the ACC championship game. We could play with either of these teams. Look forward to playing FSU.

And it wasn't really that close until Tulane closed the gap in a last gasp effort when SMU was playing more conservative on DArkpony wrote:396 yards to their 269!

Re: AAC Championship Thread
Have waited my literal entire life to experience what took place yesterday.
From the amount of traveling Ponies, to seeing our boys just absolutely throttle a top 25 team on the road...with a RS Freshmen at that, winning a conference title is just the topping on the cake of an already amazing season.
That TCU game withheld, I can not think of a season in my life that I have enjoyed more. Even the loss at Oklahoma, just the experience in general and pulling within three in the 4th...will always remember it.
Last night just really brought everything home. My first memories of Pony Football were getting blown out in the Cotton Bowl. Sitting through all of those 1-11 seasons and the 0-12 year, that horrendous 2014 year, so many blow out losses. I couldn't hold back when that clock finally ticked to 0:00. Can not be more excited for where we're headed as a program, and last night's win really does feel just like the start.
NOLA, you were amazing. Pony fans, y'all were so much fun. Mustang players, just truly thank you for giving us those memories that will never fade.
Onto whichever bowl game we get. Pony Up!
