Another good addition. Really highly thought of coming out of H.S. but never lived up to the hype at OU. Hopefully he becomes the player so many thought he would be over the course of the next 2 years he has left to play at SMU. At the very least he's a grown man who will provide more depth on the OL as we move into ACC play. Another big guy coming home

Up to #11 in the 247 rankings. I will say it’s pretty cool to see SMU grouped with the ACC. Only Louisville, NC State and Notre Dame (barely) ahead of the Mustangs.

Rankings can be deceptive because of the number of players a school is signing vs the average player ratings in a transfer class, but SMU's class is very comparable to other ACC schools right now. Our H.S. class is well behind the top ACC programs but hopefully a strong transfer class will give those FR a chance to mature before they are counted on to contribute.

Have to love the Duncanville connection that is being built both via the portal with guys "coming home" and guys that are currently committed in '25 to staying home and signing with SMU right out of H.S, As a member of the ACC and with NIL there is no reason SMU can't compete for national championships in the near future. It took Ron Meyer 4-5 years to build the Pony Express but he didn't have benefit of the transfer portal
