Paris Patterson, who redshirted his true freshman at Arkansas in 2023, announced on his Twitter account that he is transferring to SMU. The East St. Louis, Illinois native was the No. 7 player in Illinois as a high school senior according to ESPN and 247sports.com, and was listed last year on the Arkansas website at 6-6 and 350 pounds.
Coming out of high school a year ago, he reported offers (in addition to Arkansas) from LSU, Nebraska, Tennessee, Colorado, Iowa State, Jackson State, Kansas, Miami (OH), North Alabama, Northern Illinois, Northwestern State, Tulane, Tulsa, Western Michigan
