Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.Awesome! Now let's do it again every year and convince TCU that the trivalry is a thing.
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.From SMUMustangs.com:

Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.More than fine with replacing TCU with Baylor personally. Close game, with a good crowd from both sides. More than winnable.

Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules. With 4 non-conference games to schedule every year, Baylor & TCU are naturals
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules. This is a must-win game for sanity's sake...The enmity towards Baylor is strong in this one...

Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules. The away games in Waco that I attended as a student (both football and basketball) in the good old SWC days were memorable. Memorable mostly for the Baylor fans being the drunkest, most profane fans I ever encountered. Never seen so many fights in the stands and they were between bu fans. The good thing about renewing this series is that it is not a long drive from Dallas to the armpit of Texas.
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules. My very first road SWC conference game in 1986 featured a fight with the Mustang Band vs some bu frat. Classic. And that last road game in Waco in 2016 I went to involved some of the most classless fans I have ever encountered. So, glad to restart the series. And by the way, screw those coward toads.
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.
Baylor and Arkansas were among the most obnoxious bunch of fans in the 80's. I don't know if that has changed or if they have been surpassed by Tech in recent years. The funny thing about Baylor currently is that it considers itself the center of the CFB universe. More sad than obnoxious.
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.Post DP, we “owned” Arkie….very first question at the Houston Nutt new hire press conference, “Coach…can you beat SMU?!?”
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules. My first SMU game was against Baylor. Old Cotton Bowl, nose bleed seats in the east end zone. History and rivalries still mean something. Glad the Bears are back. Hope this series can turn into something long-term.
"It’s hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the league”

Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.Being P5 got us a 1-1 instead of a 1-2. So, that's good. I would like to see Baylor, TCU, Rice, Arkansas, Sand Aggies and Aggies on the schedule as the years go by. UT won't play us, their loss.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Baylor added to ‘25 and ‘26 schedules.Last time I went to Waco for a game it was the last time SMU played in the old Floyd Casey stadium and it was 100+ degrees.
By the time SMU/ Notre Dame/ Chiefs Super Bowl legend Gehrig Dieter found the end zone for SMU I was probably at Georges having a Big O. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
