So....

Post by leopold »

we are currently #12 in National Recruiting with multiple 4 stars and we are, after long last, entering into a "P5" conference (for lack of a better term now) with a snowballs chance in hades to win it.

And yet this board is dead, as is the 247 board. Granted, 247 is going through changes, but I'd be curious to know why we aren't posting like mad, having achieved so much in the past year or two.

Any reason why we aren't chirping up a storm here?

I have been wondering the same thing. Strange.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It's the quiet time for college sports. It's always like this.

That said, start some topics, and posts will follow.

There is a third site that is active. Like all three of them though.

Even back to the original site, this time of the year just drags - and that was before the excitement of the portal and early recruiting.

In June, the preview mags start hitting the shelves, followed by the online previews and predictions for next year. Fall camp is less than a Summer away.

It will pick up soon enough. Enjoy your Summer. Fall will be great!

People are enjoying the unofficial start to Summer. Soon their thoughts will turn to Fall. The kickoff in Reno is just 56 days away, but who's counting?

With the season opener on August 24th, training camp will open in late July. Mustang players have already checked in, for summer conditioning and workouts this past Monday. The 2024 season is right around the corner.
