Three ACC teams have advanced to the 8 team College World Series with UNC, FSU & Virginia having punched their tickets. Clemson lost the deciding game of their best of 3 to Florida in 13 innings. Sure would be nice to be competing this time of year but I just don't see SMU ever being able to bring back baseball and fielding a softball team as well.

There's a possibility the CWS will feature 4 ACC and 4 SEC teams this year. Georgia vs NCSU outcome tonight will determine whether it is 4-4 or SEC will have 5 teams and ACC 3. Clearly the southern schools have an advantage in college baseball but I see both Oregon and Oregon State made appearances in Super regionals
