It has been my opinion that TCU's ascendency has been pretty much directly proportional to SMU's doldrums. For years they have snagged players that pre-DP would have given SMU more than serious consideration. Dr. Turner noted the other day that until fairly recently we didn't even bring recruits on campus until they had been approved for admission. No way we could compete with the Frogs given that recruiting environment. Now the tide has turned and we are TCU's (and Baylor's and possibly Tech's) worst nightmare. I notice that we are now beating out Houston, Baylor and Tech on a regular basis for commits. I think we have turned the corner after giving the finger to Sonny Dykes with the Hawkins flip.
