Welcome to the ACC!I'm a born, bred, bleed Carolina blue '94 alumnus of UNC and would like to officially welcome y'all to the league. I've been very impressed not only with the financial prowess y'all have demonstrated but also the enthusiasm and hospitality y'all have brought and I look forward to my first road trip to SMU! Again welcome! Go Heels! #GDTBATH (Good Day to be a Tar Heel--very popular Carolina hashtag)
Re: Welcome to the ACC!
Thanks, luvUNChatedook1994, for the good wishes. I certainly hope the Tar Heels benefit, as we will, from the introduction of Cal, SMU, and Stanford. As importantly, I hope you remain a proud, successful ACC member and not seek other destinations. Pony Up

Re: Welcome to the ACC!Thanks. I think any ACC fan questioning adding SMU will, within the next few years, see that SMU is dead serious on competing, and our big money donors want to win big. SMU has a lot to offer when in a power program, and the future looks bright.
It’s insane we have been in the conference three days and already reeling in the 4* recruits. DFW, by the numbers (and I mean DWF as in the biggest interpretations of the metroplex by area), has more D1 recruits than anywhere else. Between the portal (a lot of those guys want to come home), big donors, and NIL, SMU is set up for success. SMU is very lucky to have some big oil money guys with that old Southwest Conference win at all costs over the other Texas schools attitude. Not to mention our current coaching staff are all future rock stars in the sport.

Welcome to the board. Cute name. Y’all were a “no” vote, as I recall? ![]()
