Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonThe only concern SMU has now is to WIN.
The rest is like watching politics - You can find a channel telling you what you want to hear. Hail to the Red and the Blue - WIN Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and Clemson
Exactly. "Has talked with" means absolutely nothing. The Big 12 "talked with" SMU. OK.
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and Clemson
This exactly. I’m sure Yormark did talk to them, and it well could have been a reaction to all the Utah to the ACC talk. That seems to be his style. Plus, if getting closer to Big or SEC money is the goal, little 12’s not going to do it.
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and Clemson"big 12" talked to Alabama and Ohio State too.
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and Clemson
Which channel talks about twelvermectin? Someone tell FSU and Clem that it doesn't actually treat your football symptoms. Leader of the Band-itos.

Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonClemson and Florida State are football peers of Texas/OU (who just escaped the truck stop 12) and consider themselves equal. It’s power 2 or bust for them. This is clickbait comedy gold.
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonClemson and FSU currently play in a conference that has it's footprint in the most populated region of the country. It's easy to understand why they might want to join the B1G or SEC but laughable to think they would want to jump to the Big XII/XVI
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonTo lure them all of the other schools would have to take a pay cut. They're going to want SEC money from the Big XII TV contract which is lower than the ACC TV contract. Plus the ACC hasn't figured out how to split the money, SMU, Stanford and Cal are leaving on the table. This is a diva shake down by Clemson and FSU. Sooner or later they're come to a deal with their ACC mates.
Other Big XII trolls said Miami and Louisville would go to the Big XII. The SEC and B1G have said they're not interested in Clemson and FSU. UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonSEC/Big10, maybe.
But they're not heading to the Big 12. Nothing but trolls. ![]()
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonIt's just hard to imagine Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia or Alabama saying "sure, cut our money so we can split the pot more ways."
SMU! SMU! SMU!
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonI can't stand the author or the site, but this is a great read.

Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and Clemson
I'm not sure they'll back down even with this news as crazy as FSU people are. If you look at the ACC school message boards, I actually think FSU is worse than the whorns were in the SWC in terms of whining and complaining. Nobody seems to be upset with them leaving as long as the rest of the gang stays together. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out but at this juncture everyone needs to try and just get along for the next few years.
Re: The Big 12 Has Talked with Florida State and ClemsonClemson fan here.
In my opinion the only landing spots for Clemson or FSU are the ACC or SEC. Everything else is just posturing to try to get deals done. Personally, I'd love to stay in the ACC and just get a better media deal. The ACC has national brands (you could find a hat for Clemson, FSU, Duke, UNC, Miami in almost any sports store across the country). Some leadership just made a bad, long-term media deal some time back. I was really hoping the addition of new schools would allow that deal to be re-visited and re-worked, and maybe ultimately it will. If so, I think the ACC gets a much more on-par pay with the Big10 and SEC and Clemson and FSU stay put, which in my opinion is good for college sports as a whole. (We need more than 2 "big" conferences)
