I'm the biggest fan of any team playing BYU this year since they refuse to play us because they know the Aggies would win.
BYU makes fun of everyone else and they think they're so much better.
I see Cougar fans still bragging about some game against you in the 1980s. What a joke they still bring that up.
Right, Andy, they're the worst. Why can't they be like the aggies, fun loving, good sports, welcoming to Kyle field for all fans, never insulting, even good sports with UT fans. Just read their forum
and you see what great football people they are.
Thankfully I have never been to college station. I remember the 81 game we played
against them down there. Made the national evening TV news. Not the score but the
incident. Think the ags elected that core member class president shortly thereafter.
All this faux praise for an ugly town in the middle of nowhere is baffling. Love to watch
EatMeU lose. That said Ive been to some great games in Stillwater and Baton Rouge.
Both ag schools with friendly and knowledgeable fanbases.
As for BYU: no comment other than I hope we gain a small degree of redemption by
beating them this fall.
BYU and my Aggies played each other for decades and decades and about 15 years ago Utah State took control of the rivalry and started beating BYU on a regular basis.
So BYU got sick of losing and cancelled the series for good.
They are a bunch of cowards and deserve to lose every game they play.
I like SMU and especially now with NIL we know you did nothing wrong in 80s and were totally unfairly persecuted. Nobody would be surprised anywhere if BYU was behind NCAA going after you somehow.
SMU did wrong in the late 1970s and 1980s, but the Death Penalty should not have been issued. That whole time both Oklahoma and Texas A&M were at last as dirty as SMU, with Houston and Texas close to that level. That's just in the immediate region.
My assessment is that no program was ever dirtier for a lengthy period that OU under Switzer. Chuck Fairbanks started a bunch of illegal recruiting to try to get OU back to the Top 5, but Switzer then elevated that to an art form.
Switzer was one of the greatest head coaches ever. He decidedly did not rely on paying
players to the same extent as other programs. Switzer won because he was a likable
guy that was able to recruit elite African American talent to Norman while other schools
like UT were debating the merits of even letting Black athletes compete. While not a UO
fan by any stretch, I can appreciate what he accomplished.

To Utah State person: Hubba Hubba is correct.
I know a lot of very good natured and likable Aggies. It is the group dynamic that is so off-putting. Sort of cultlike and very immature and high schoolish. They are trying to become the most important school in the state by increasing their enrollment with public college kids who couldn't get into UT or whose families are Aggies because their parents or grandparents couldn't get into UT. They offer majors like "hospitality" where they teach kids how to manage Super 8 motels etc. They have college credit classes in BBQ. It is easy to make fun of the cadets as a bunch of play soldiers who like uniforms. But to their credit they do produce quite a few graduates who go on to become military officers.

UT, Tech, SMU etc all produce military officers. Many aggie core members are pure pretend.
I've known both types.
BYU fans still think they are the team of Jim McMahon even though it was almost 50 years ago. The QBs they have for years are bums.
Utah State is the school now where all the great NFL QBs come from in Utah and it eats at BYU fans like crazy. Jordan Love is a better QB to ever come out of BYU.
I was upset when I didn’t go to BYU but ended up happy later. I dodged a big one there and didn’t realize how bad that school and all the fans are until I got to Utah State.
They’ve been annoying before but at least Utah will play us and the Ute fans aren’t all high and mighty.

For the record no BYU fan is touting our QB for the Heisman. Nor was their a mass attack on their dearly departed equipment manager.
BYU fans have been making fun of Steve for years and literally making fun of him today even after he's deceased. Again, a veteran who fought for our country.
Don't think I don't watch what all of you are posting everywhere.
