Post BYU - which of the remaining teams WILL we beat?

Looking at who we have left, I think Stanford may be our best bet, but maybe not many (any?) more???

Virginia and Stanford are the easiest remaining games. Unless we drastically improve on offense, we will struggle to win 4+ games.

TCU - possible win only because itΓÇÖs a rivalry and once every several years we upset them. But they are a much better team than us this year.

Then maybe we win one of the conference games. Not sure which.

Really just hoping for a 4 win season this year.

LOL. I love how in one week the convo has gone from 9-3 and possible darkhorse ACC championship spot to 3-9 and praying to find a 4th win somewhere. My guess is it ends up somewhere in between.

Of course itΓÇÖs in between. I thought weΓÇÖd be around .500, and I still think that.

I wish it were "just one game". But the reality is it was 2 games out of 2 -- we just happened to pull one of them out of our [deleted] at the end. It was also the way we lost the last game. It is pretty clear to me that we are not nearly as good as last year, and we are playing a much more difficult schedule than last year.

Our only hope is that we will drastically improve on the OL as the season progresses, which can happen. In a weird way, it would also "help" if BYU wins a bunch of games this year.

I would think that they have to be the underdog in each of the remaining games. I would also have to think that somewhere along the line they will encounter a team that is overconfident or experiencing significant injuries or just isn't ready to play resulting in an upset win and a three win season. That is about all that can be reasonably hoped for.
A long tradition of existence.

ESPN analytics still has SMU favored in every game except Louisville. Look the defense is legit and will keep us close in every game we play. A play or two different inside the 20 last Friday and SMU wins.

Look around college football and all the close games and upsets week after week. This SMU team is probably capable of beating every team on the schedule and equally capable of losing to every team. It's anyone's guess how the rest of this season will play out.

I think it was Joe Pa who said (paraphrasing) "you are never as good or as bad as you think you are".

The future is never written. It is decided upon.
