Has anyone calculated the potential increase in ticket sales/merchandise/concessions we will get by joining the ACC?
We are giving up the TV money we would have gotten if we had stayed in the AAC. But how does that AAC TV money compare to the increase in ticket sales?
Everyone talks about the amount of ACC TV money we are not getting for the next 9(?) years. But that's money we have never had. So I think we should compare the $0 we are getting now to the AAC money we would have gotten, and net that against the increase in ticket and merchandise sales.

We're not getting zero, we're getting zero from TV. The increases from other ACC-related sources alone outweigh AAC monies, including AAC TV monies. Not just tickets but NCAA revenue, bowl revenue, and I think others.

Re: TV money forfeiture
So, existing ACC schools get about $39M
SMU will make about $18.5M, which is more than double what we were getting from AAC. So that, plus increased ticket sales, merch, Mustang Club, et al, is a huge bump up.

"ItΓÇÖs hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the leagueΓÇ¥
