Don't know how good L'ville is. They beat a mediocre Ga Tech and lost to a way overrated team that got beat at home by Northern Illinois. If we avoid stupid mistakes, we should win easily (TCU, FSU). With stupid mistakes it will be close (Nevada, BYU).

SMU 31-30. Collin Rogers kicks the game winner and closes the gap on becoming the all-time scoring leader at SMU!!

Hate to admit but this is kind of what I'm feeling about this game. Sure hope I'm wrong but until our guys show me they can play well on the road I find it difficult to argue with that assessment.indianmustang wrote:https://www.sportscasting.com/news/college-football-week-6-expert-picks-2024/

"But, while SMUΓÇÖs offense has dazzled behind quarterback Kevin Jennings, the numbers tell a more complicated story. Turnovers have been their best friend, masking games where both TCU and Florida State outgained them."indianmustang wrote:https://www.sportscasting.com/news/college-football-week-6-expert-picks-2024/
This is actually not correct. We outgained FSU both in running and passing yards.

Re: OFFICIAL: SMU-LOUISVILLE PREDICTIONS & ROLLCALL
In the TCU game, our offense had a hard time running any plays as the defense wouldn't let them get on the field because they were too busy adding their own points to the scoreboard.highlander wrote:"But, while SMUΓÇÖs offense has dazzled behind quarterback Kevin Jennings, the numbers tell a more complicated story. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yep - any argument that starts with "But for the turnovers..." is usually pretty silly.PK wrote:

The way I see it, the teams are pretty well match offensively and defensively. The difference will be the turnovers and special teams. Not sure which way that goes though.

While not predicting a score, I have a feeling that this game is going to be similar to last years Memphis game.
