This comment from that thread sums it up pretty well (on the question of whether the ACC could possibly get 3 teams into the playoffs:

Exactly. They closed the playoffs last year. Rewarding two teams about top join them and keeping the ACC out. Now they have hiuredba retired Air Force general to be the figurehead of that fixed crap.
