Re: Mustangs move up without playingGood for us! Shouldn't Boise St be ranked above Ohio State? Their only loss is also to Oregon, in a one score game, early in the season, in a game where they out gained Oregon and only lost due to giving up 2 special teams touchdowns. Rankings are 90% brand and 10% performance.
Re: Mustangs move up without playing
I am truly amazed at how well Boise State recruits year after year as a G5 school.
Re: Mustangs move up without playingThe blue playing field. I've always said we should have a red playing field. But then Peruna wouldn't like it.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Mustangs move up without playingTo be honest, I was very concerned that we would drop out of the top 25 Its not like we are Notre Dame or something.
Ah, the good old days. In 1986 unranked ND lost to #3 Michigan 23-24. And guess what! Unranked 0-1-0 ND was ranked at #20 the next week. ND can lose and still move into the polls. Now that is clout! We don't get those kinda opportunities. And just in case, the next game #20 ND lost to unranked Michigan State. I guess t 0-2 the pollsters couldn't find it in their hearts to keep ND ranked.
Re: Mustangs move up without playing
I was thinking the exact same thing. It's not that hard to go from 25 to 26. But I guess BYU and Louisville winning helped us.
Re: Mustangs move up without playingThese next 2 weeks will be telling. West coast trip to Stanford followed by an east coast trip to Duke. If this team is able to win those games then we are really going to have something to get excited about and will prove we belong in the Top 25. Midway through the season it's still anybody's guess who belongs in that 15-25 range
Re: Mustangs move up without playing
I hear what you're saying. But right now all we have to do it win one game: the next one.
Re: Mustangs move up without playingSo how high do we move up this week?
Stanford isn't great, but neither was "bye" last week. I'm guessing 18 or so.
Re: Mustangs move up without playingMissouri should move down. They barely beat Auburn. Maybe one spot. Everyone else won.
