As we get closer to sorting out which teams will and won't make a run at the playoff, or even bowl games, I wonder how many more players are going to make similar decisions. Some will opt out to protect their potential professional futures, but I'm guessing more will realize their physical future is more important, too, if the remaining games hold little meaning.

Interesting thoughtΓÇöand wait until the next FSU 2023 furor when somebody arguably makes the playoffs because they finished the year against a formerly decent team whose starting skill players all sat out.

Agreed. There will be more and more blowouts of teams that think they got shortchanged.
