I like this team. Gonna be a really fun year, and I’m thankful that Miller and company saw the need for change and went after Enfield. I like Rob Lanier and will be pulling for him at Rice, but the change was necessary.

Second straight game Utter and Young get in but Puryear doesn't

Have to wonder whether they are considering a RS year for him. I know the NCAA has considered revising the rules for basketball to mirror football, i.e., allowing players to compete in as many as 1/3 of a team's games and still take a RS year but that hasn't happened yet. If Cross comes back it would be easier to RS Puryear but Holmes might be needed this year given our situation with our bigs. In his post game presser, Enfield said only that "there's a chance that Chance will play" and I take that to mean if Cross can't get back and we need him, Puryear might play
