I guess we won't hear them trying to beat the Peruna record at Tulane this year.

You have to get them to actually pay attention to the game, instead of doing homework, playing with each other's hair, and flirting if you want to break the 100 peruna mark.

Come to think of it, I guess it WAS an all-male band that set the Peruna record.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
yea, NCAA makes it hard to play the song 700 times in a game. If we could play peruna in 5 seconds (yea, right), that's nearly an hour of solid peruna. 58 minutes 20 seconds, actually. We got 91 twice; the TCU wasn't one of them.

Uh, no!!! There were 3 women in the band at the time: Rebecca Knight, Suzannah Yarborough, and me. That comment was so sexist. couch'em wrote:You have to get them to actually pay attention to the game, instead of doing homework, playing with each other's hair, and flirting if you want to break the 100 peruna mark.
Back in the day, one would never have seen the coeds acting like coeds. We acted, as best we could, as 'one of the guys.' If any bandswoman acted like a girl, she would have caught all sorts of grief. Twirlers weren't included.

I wasn't just talking about girls in that comment. Ok, so the part about playing with hair was just girls. But the other two were general comments. I guess the last comment partly involves girls, I hope.
I for the record, during my four years I think our average was over 100 per game. 90 would be unusually low.

Seriously,
I still like "Right Now" - Van Halen.
Listen to it from the beginning; picture it being played just before they run out the tunnel.
We even invite Van Halen to perform it one game -
Sammy Hagar at Ford Stadium! Make it happen, Orsini!
