Leave Dec. 30 and come home Jan. 2.

I have used orbitz.com for 25 years and book vacations only now.

I pick a hotel and the others also I checked, and it says nonrefundable.
And American Airlines says nonrefundable. WTheck

Is this just a bowl thing or has the industry changed? [deleted] if you ask me.

Any work arounds?

I made a reservation for Jan 1 at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. Refundable if cancelled 48 hours before arrival. No charge to cc to hold it.

just as an FYI - SMU will be playing in Atlanta New Years day should they beat Clemson. That's the ACC tie.

Sugar bowl will be SEC champ.

Peach bowl is the likely landing spot for SMU if they win the ACC. They will send Texas to the Sugar and Oregon and Boise out west.

I could see a scenario where Georgia wins and gets Peach, sending SMU to Sugar. So perhaps just hold your reservations.
