Re: SMU tv RATINGSNot good that the other games during Cal/SMU were Michigan/Ohio State, Miami/Syracuse and Maryland/Pedophile State
Re: SMU tv RATINGSThe fact that our game widely regarded as the most important game of the week, from a playoff perspective, and it's on at primetime, should help us this week. This game, for good or for bad, will be our coming out party.
Re: SMU tv RATINGShttps://x.com/DidTheACCDie/status/1864698926038724972 we need to do lot better in pulling tv ratings we are last in ACC Mustang from India
Re: SMU tv RATINGSoof. Dead last.
Re: SMU tv RATINGS
I don't know what I can do to fix this. I guess I can go out and buy some more TVs and have them all on the games... But seriously -- what else can the team do? We can spend money to bring in great coaches and players, which we have already done. But we can't buy viewers. I guess it's just going to take time to bring more fans back.
Re: SMU tv RATINGS
![]() I Would say run Ads on prime time local TV Mustang from India
Re: SMU tv RATINGSLots of eyeballs on the ACC championship game since it means everything for so many fan bases. Ponies have the opportunity to pick up some bandwagon peeps.
Re: SMU tv RATINGSNo one should get overly despondent about this, and if you were able to overlay the time of day and the network on which each rating was earned, you could truly compare apples to apples here. Duke's numbers shot into the stratosphere last year because the season started with a prime time game on ABC (on Thursday of Labor Day weekend) against Clemson and also included a prime-time ABC Saturday night game against Notre Dame.
SMU was on the ACC Network a *ton* this year. It's great that that network, and ACC Huddle and the rest, love SMU. But games draw peanuts over there.
Re: SMU tv RATINGSAgree with Dukie, and Sat night ratings should be thru the roof as there’s so much riding on this game for other teams. I’d think most of the country would be Pony fans this weekend, the upstarts trying to secure their place with the big boys, and most of SEC country will be tuned in for their own reasons.
