With a SMU victory, it will be the first time SMU has won back to back conference championships since the Pony Express years of 81-82.
Sure, not exactly the same but still very I'm preside.

It is a dream come true. We’re back! After so many disappointments. Ponyte, you might recall that when we met 10-12 years back, I told you that we happened to sit next to you at the Arkansas-SMU game in 89 in Little Rock. That game was truly very early in the wilderness we all have endured. Pony Up!

Ponies almost pulled off a miracle that day. And we rarely saw anything close for decades. Glad SMU and its fans and backers decided to commit to winning again. The excitement here in Charlotte is nothing I’ve experienced since my youth.

We’re just getting started! Charlotte was great, the Clemson fans were terrific, (especially compared to some other fan bases), the fan fest was fun, and I can’t wait to come back and win it next year! But best of all, our Pony family was exemplary in every way today! Oh, and we’re a national brand now!

Totally agree with TidePony. Gutted by the loss, but never more excited about the future of this program than I am right now.
I really shouldn't drink and type.

Better turnout by SMU fans then I expected. Still far out numbered obviously but made our presence felt. Fun and exciting game

Unfair experience with Clemson fans wasn’t pleasant at all. Rude, drunk, obnoxious and very foul mouthed. Also seem to feel entitled. Thought I was at a tea sip game

Clemson alumni here. 1) Sorry to hear about any negative feedback regarding the Clemson family. We usually strive to be a very welcoming and a fun loving community. Although there are always a few bad eggs in every bunch… 2) Congratulations on making the playoffs! Lots of Clemson fans very excited you beat out Alabama in the final vote. I read the team cheered extra loud when your name came up. 3) I feel your team is very capable in beating Penn State. Your guys took a little too long to settle in at the ACCCG. If yall can start hot and play the way you did the second half all game you should be looking for flights to Arizona.

Looking forward to visiting Death Valley next fall for our game there. That will easily be our hardest conference away game next year. After the show we put on this past weekend between the two teams - who knows - perhaps a Gameday game?

This was our experience as well. We had a couple Clemson fans having to defend us and get their drunk fans away from us. We ended up moving in the 2nd quarter because it was just too much. They would not let off. Of course was just as bad leaving the stadium at the end of the game. Again, a few Clemson fans immediately came up and apologized. Honestly is a big reason I don't drink at these games, especially when I have family there like I did on Saturday. Am all for some fun ribbing here and there, but the drunken obnoxiousness of it all is not the way to go.

We had some very drunken SMU fans in front of us, luckily they were female and cute, but still obnoxious. I was afraid they were going to get into a fight with a Clemson fan behind us. Most of the Clemson fans were okay, loud but okay. I was really pleased to see our fans come out for this one. Happy Valley will be white out. So, wear red or wear blue if you can make the game.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
