I could pull for him almost anywhere, but if he goes to frogland he is dead to me.

Re: Bye, Preston
I assume he will still be on the team for the playoff games, right? Probably a stupid question.

And yes, I intentionally used the plural.

This part is easy. Yes, they extend the portalizing window for those whose teams are still playing, but the best thing for any player is to get out there early so that the most desirable destinations donΓÇÖt fulfill their needs and decide they donΓÇÖt need you. He can still play though, and has stated that he will:

Re: Bye, Preston
Hope Preston finds a school he can play for and has a great Senior season. I doubt TCU will be interested, assuming Hoover returns and they also have a highly thought of QB recruit coming in. If he wants to stay in the area, UNT might be interested as Morris should finally have exhausted his eligibility. Speaking of Morris, I expect Chad Morris might be recruiting him as well. Virginia is going to need a QB if he wants to stay in the ACC and play against SMU.

Stone's message on Twitter:
"Playing at SMU has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Spending my Saturday afternoons at Ford stadium as a kid forged a dream of one day wearing the red and blue, and it overwhelms me with gratitude that my childhood dream was fulfilled. Thank you to my family, the City of Dallas, every SMU fan, my coaches, and all of my teammates for allowing me to create lifelong memories on The Hilltop. It has been an incredible ride playing for this school, and I'm very grateful for every blessing SMU has provided me.
"This December, I will be graduating from the Cox School of Business and entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. The goal set out at the beginning of this season was to win a national championship, and that goal is still within reach. I plan on keeping my commitment to my teammates to finish the remainder of this season as a Mustang and doing whatever I can to help us win it all."

Tulane QB, Darian Mensah, has committed to Duke. Thought is Stone is heading to UVA. His mom was at the game with Virginia folk.
