ECU beats NCSU and the game is punctuated by a brawl that resulted in several ejections before the last play kneel down by ECU. These two teams open the season in Raleigh next year so that could be interesting. I lived in Durham in the late 80's and remember a brawl between these two teams and the ADs deciding to discontinue their series after that incident. NCSU vs ECU is a "rivalry" not unlike our "rivalry" with UNT...a lot of bad blood between the 2 schools

Bama shows once again that they really should not have been in the playoffs. Losing to a 7-5 team doesn't look good.

Down go the Gamecocks to Illinois. Is Herbstreet embarrassed yet?

I find myself becoming more proud of my Mustangs with each passing second of the Fiesta Bowl.

I’m with ya Highlander. That Penn State D is nasty, and this is on a neutral field where the QB and offense can actually hear the plays. No excuses but let’s face it, we were in over our heads up there in those conditions and Kevin imploded early and it was over in the blink of an eye.

It looks like there are more Boise St fans than PSU fans.

If Abdul Carter can’t get back in the game, that’s a huge loss for PSU.

Have to really wonder how it could been without all the self-inflected mistakes against Clemson (which would have placed SMU as a third seed) and against Ped State, how different the outcomes would have been.

Would have loved SMU to play indoor in perfect field conditions like tonight. I thought ped state was limited offensively and we let them off the hook with all the mistakes.

Penn state isn't good. We just blew hard. Weather conditions and hostile atmosphere worked against us. Oh, and Jennings can't throw the ball in the cold.

Lucky for Boise, the OC for PSU is an idiot. Boise can’t stop the run and PSU keeps passing.

Penn State isn't good...ok. They've ended the season top-10 5 of the past 10 years. This year their losses are to Ohio State and Oregon.

I strongly agree with Eaststang - OC for Penn State called a poor game

Meant they're not elite. Offense is mediocre. Their main strength is there d line. We def give them a close game on a neutral site in fair conditions.
