USA Today gave us an A+ season. No problem with that at all.

Re: A+ Season
All about how teams fared vs expectations. SMU absolutely deserves that grade for 2024 but expectations are now elevated for the 2025 season

Re: A+ Season
Interestingly, I read an article this morning where the writers and editors at The Athletic were surveyed for their picks for national champion, Heisman Trophy and conference titles. In the ACC, it was Clemson (22 votes), Miami (7), Georgia Tech (1) and Louisville (1). No votes for SMU.
After being picked 7th last year and finishing in the conference championship, maybe that's a good thing.

"ItΓÇÖs hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the leagueΓÇ¥

This coming year is going to be very difficult for us. We play what looks to be a tougher schedule, and we lost a lot of great seniors.Webmaster wrote:Interestingly, I read an article this morning where the writers and editors at The Athletic were surveyed for their picks for national champion, Heisman Trophy and conference titles. A+ Season
A++++ season considering a step up in conference and starting the season with their second best quarterback. They had an extremely favorable schedule but still a remarkable achievement - a once in generation season - a level of success that will be almost impossible to duplicate.
A long tradition of existence.
