Have we done anything to merit more respect? We have become a perenial NIT team. Hopefully we can at least achieve that this season if not sneak into the NCAA tournament.

It's really hard to tell at this stage where each team belongs. There are enough games in a season that if we keep winning, we will gain respect this year.

These rankings, or whatever you want to call them appear pretty accurate. As of today after the win at Virginia Tech, we are 1-2 against the "2nd tier" teams and have not lost yet to a "3rd tier" team. This team should easily win more than 20 games and at the very least get a high seed NIT bid. Hopefully they can finish strong and lose no more than 1-2 games in the regular season but unless they win out (a very tall order with so many games against those 2nd tier teams) I think they are going to have to advance deep into the ACC tourney to have any hope of getting into the NCAAs
