Personal:
He is the son of Corey Sr. and LaQuinta Washington... He has two sisters Kimorah and Jasmine, and one brother Jordan... He will major in sport management at Wichita State.

WSU head coach Paul Mills on Washington:
“I’m ecstatic to have Corey as a member of Shocker basketball. He is a dynamic player who can defend multiple positions, rebound at a high rate and play in a manner where he is ultra aggressive in transition and in the half court. Corey has met every challenge in front of him as a collegiate player and thrived. He led a good Saint Peter’s team to the NCAA Tournament this past season and I’m confident he will be a valuable addition to do the same thing for the Shockers moving forward.”

Looks like an aggressive wing who can score and board so could be a good replacement for Cross as a more natural fit at the 3. We used Cross a lot as a 4 because of his physical play when we went with 3 guards. With all the wings and talented incoming bigs on next year's roster roster we might have a more traditional look next year but would need production from the sf position. As for bringing in another PG, this addition puts us at 13 'ships so unless there is more transfer activity we don't appear to have a spot. I haven't heard whether BJ Davis-Ray is definitely coming and haven't heard anything about last year's FR Puryear and Holmes

Hope this commitment is solid

Looks more like an Oquendo replacement on the wing.
Without having seen him play, Nana Owusu-Anane seems more like a Cross replacement/
I really shouldn't drink and type.
