#19. Starting to get some respect. Going to be a challenging schedule, but on the other hand, PonyFans will get to see the kind of marquis matchups we've missed since the SWC days. I'm freakin' pumped!!

The days of Texas, A&M, Baylor as conference play are back.
NIL - Now it's Legal is helping SMU compete.

It is a great time to be a Mustang. NOW, join a collective.

Aye to all of the above.
Even if it is just a bit, it will collectively make a difference...

I’ve seen other rankings that have the Ponies as high as 9. I’ve always hated these preseason rankings. Until now. Ponies now swimming in deep water and it’s pretty sweet. High expectations build programs and tough schedules make champions.

Early Preseason Rankings

Considering at the height of the pony express (1980-1984), SMU finished in the top 20 five times, top 10 3 times and top 5 twice. All the while with major probation and recruiting restrictions. Guess what? What got us on probation is now called Name, image and Likeness and the sky is the limit. I expect SMU to be a perennial contender from here on out and a staple in the top 25.
