Once again, my favorite player was terrific. He's proving to be much more of an offensive threat than anyone gives him credit for, and his defense on Nash was great again. My personal favorite was at the end of the first half, when it looked like he slowed down to let Nash by, and then swatted Nash's shot from behind, off the backboard. It was like he was baiting the two-time MVP. I got off the couch for that one.
Too bad the NBA told the refs they wouldn't get paid if Phoenix lost. Clippers were the better team last night. Counting on The Q to lead them to a win in game 6 .... AND game 7!

you notice that the Clippers went on their big second half comeback when Q came into the game? He changed the tone after the Suns got easy baskets to start the second half. The guy is playing great and giving Nash all he wants.

Man I love watching him play, love how he does not hesitate to take the open shot. I still can't believe that Sam got that 8 second call and then put up that 3 with so much time left on the clock.
Only wish they would have won after staying up till 1:20 last night.

Me too, I have been tired all day. That Raja Bell 3 in the first overtime was a killer.

I bet this playoff run has guaranteed the Clips pick up his option for next season (if they weren't planning to already).
If not, Q is making himself more money with every game he plays like last night.

Hopefully after the season, Q will return to Dallas and help sell SMU to recruits since he shows that it is possible to play in the NBA after going to SMU!

I had a class with Q when I went to SMU. He is the nicest guy you will ever meet. With his pedigree and smarts, he should definitely be apart of the program when his playing career is over in ten years.
Ponysnob, it is against NCAA regulations to recruit for your alma mater when you don't work there. I know it is crazy--and how do you interpret it--but those are the rules.
Willis to slot receiver!

yes its against the rules to formally recruit unless you are a designated representative of the university. Of course, they can have the incidental contacts at banquets or other events were the recruit happens to be.

Q was fantastic. Next to Brand, he was the most talked about Clipper last night. Leading the way at the half with 16 pts and completely shutting down The Little Magician (Nash).
Q needs to lock himself in the gym this summer and work on his offensive game. If he can become a consistent scorer he will have long and profitable NBA career.

Even cheap Donald Sterling has to be printing the paperwork to lock him up for next year, especially since he's such a bargain. If he's smart, he'll start working on an extension. Q is starting to look like the kind of player every team would want. He'll never make Kobe money, or Dirk money, but I bet he's pretty heavily coveted.

The Clippers have him under contract through next season and have a team option for 07-08. After that, he might get Raja Bell money, which is a little over $4M a year. Of course, most people at the time thought Phoenix overpaid Raja Bell.

Q told me the team option is for 2006-07, not 2007-08.
