Ross Shines as Clips Force Game 7

Postby J.T.supporta » Fri May 19, 2006 4:52 am

ALL THE INFO BELOW WAS TAKEN FROM ESPN.COM:

Thursday's Best
Clippers forward Quinton Ross: Don't know if the Suns were ready for this secret weapon. Nobody would reasonably expect Nash's shadow to go off like he did in the first half. But the Q did, going for his career high. He scored the first bucket of the first half, and the last. Scored 16 points in the first half, 18 overall. Surprise!

Ross was able to shut down the reiging MVP as he sported Nash's own number. Ross clearly outplayed Nash as he help hold Nash to 17 points on 6 of 16 shooting.

Ross finished the game with 5 boards and 1 dime plus 18 pts.

CONGRATS TO ROSS, as he proudly represents the MUSTANG nation in the NBA playoffs. GOOD LUCK in game 7 Q!

Quinton Ross, starting in place of Maggette, added a career-high 18 points and Chris Kaman had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who shot 61.5 percent and outrebounded the Suns 48-28.

``We just couldn't stop them,'' Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. ``I don't know if it's energy, but they played well. Give them credit, they played a good game. We got ourselves in trouble because we didn't make shots.
