On an SMU note: has anyone ever heard why Cuban was in Coach Doherty's office a couple days after MD was hired? THAT's a conversation I wish I'd heard.

He was there as a favor to me to justify us having this thread on this site. I called him and said I needed an SMU tie in to please mr pony and he said he would drop by and make the world right.

I saw a guy in the crowd with an SMU shirt on during one of the Mavs home games. There, problem solved.

Seriously, this board takes itself way too seriously sometimes.

Very thoughtful of you to make the call  , and of Cuban to help out.

I've no idea why Cuban was there in the first place, but I'd be willing to wager that Doh's blog was a result of some of the advice solicited and given during the encounter.

Let's hope that we're not going to see a bunch of guys from this board decked out in sliced up t-shirts calling themselves the Moody Madmen or Mustang Maniacs.

Whomever posted the red and blue rugby shirts for the bandies to wear at bball games, I hope you've emailed that pick to Coach Doh. Seriously.

Doherty's blog is a very good idea and might very well have been something Cuban suggested. I cannot stand Cuban but I must give it to him in one regard- he knows how to create a buzz. The blog is a very easy, simple way for Doherty to stay connected to the fans. When the season starts and there is more to write about it I anticipate it will be something that he does weekly. I sure hope there are many more new ideas to come that help create more fan interest in our hoops program again.

I don't take it too seriously.

--Just don't see why the Mavs/Cowboys, etc. should be a topic. They're already all over the place.

Obviously, it's a good point or somebody would rebut it; instead I get only a bunch of crap slung at my cyber-person.

TCU is dog poop on the heel of my shoe. (Granted it is dog poop on the heel of my shoe that has out performed us for several years, but dog poop on the heel of my shoe none the less.)The Mavs like them or not are a local professional basketball team the inspires followers of the sport, that gets people talking hoops so that IF and WHEN SMU develops their program could inspire talk of the Mustangs which in turn could turn some young local players to consider the University that I love as their choice of school.

But again, all else aside, surely by now you have learned this is not SMU related, at least to you. Why do you keep visiting the thread.

I agree - it's a great idea. And it doesn't have to take a second of Coach D's time. For years, sports information directors have cast coaches' votes in national rankings, so conceivably, Coach D could have someone write the blog and then just let him sign off on it. But it kind of sounds like him, so I'm willing to bet he did sit down and punch that thing out. Looking forward to more like it.
Wouldn't mind seeing a similar one from some other coaches, too.

An attack never fed a kid.

WOW, I do not remember that one.

I do remember. I never had sexual relations with that women, Monica Lewinski.

And

Hey, Molimar, what do you think about this cigar

Yep this thread is way off.
