B-Hop passed over in draft

Postby EastStang » Thu Jun 29, 2006 8:28 am

B-Hop was not drafted. I suspect, he'll be heading for Europe or to the CBA to play. It worked for Q.

I don't think he is good enough to play in Europe. I think he will probably have to play in Israel or the NBDL.

I was also surprised to see Trajan Langdan was drafted 11th overall or something a few years ago. Saw him on TV playing for Tel Aviv a couple of months ago.

Pittsnoggle (sp?) was passed over too, wasn't he?

Not a surprise at all. Hopefully he'll get to play somewhere.

The Mavs worked him out; they probably will invite him to Summer League.

Pittsnoogle will be on the Mavs summer league team, confirmed by Avery Johnson...great move not to draft him (some had him going to us in the 1st round) if we can still try him out for free.

B-Hop was not really on anyone's draft radar this year, unless Isiah Thomas were to take him somewhere in the draft, I would've been shocked. But to me, he has more natural talent than Q, and CAN take his route to the NBA. I know I'll be pulling for him hard

If he and Bosh are still friends, I could see BHop in Toronto.

Bosh has some clout, because he can opt out of his contract in two years, but he couldn't convince the Raptors to draft LaMarcus Aldridge instead of Bargnani. If he couldn't do that, they're not going to sign an undrafted free agent (even though they need major help at guard) just because Bosh wants them to.

Rodman got Jack Haley employed for about 5 years.

True, but Bosh doesn't need a personal psychiatrist.
