Rivals has conflicting unverified info on this kid. They list him in his bio as 6-3, 259 and an outstanding 4.96 Forty all unverified. In a story on June 9 they said he was 6-5, 260(unverified). He recently went to an SMU and Iowa St camp and I've heard he measured 6-4 and had a sub-4.9 Forty time. Even for a kid that needs to put on a tad more weight which will come naturally in a weight program both cited times are outstanding for an offensive lineman. For example, either time would have placed him No. 1 in the Forty out of all 28 OLM tested at the College Station Nike Combine. No offers listed by Rivals as of 3 weeks ago but he was going to the Iowa St, Camp with hopes of an offer. Other schools expressing interest are Tech, Baylor, TCU, Dartmouth, William & Mary and Villanova.

Hot diggity dog. Another member of the herd of BIG MEN for SMU.

I do like the 40 time and with the statement about a couple years and our weight program, I think we have another PLAYER.

Way to go Coaches.

We don't play Baylor High, so they are irrelevant.

On more important news: congratulations, Kelly -- you've made a great decision. Welcome aboard!

Another big ugly with some speed, wow. Keep them coming. The more big uglies you have the more you can bury an opponent.

Last night, a friend of mine who is a Highland Park player told me that this kid has never started a game. However, he's "nice enough" and "has a good work ethic."

Why hasn't this kid started a game? Is Highland Park's O-line just that good?

There are kids that don't start their junior years that get recruited. It depends on who is in front of him and also how much playing time they get.

Didn't HP have four or five seniors starting on the offensive line last year? (Head coach) Randy Allen is prone to playinng upper classmen when they're equal to other players on the team, from what I hear. That could be the reason.
