UNBELIEVABLE. Rivals comes out with their Texas Top 100 today and instead of focusing on the Super Sleepers that no one else ever heard of committed to SMU those bastards chose to focus on the 23 commitments with about 10,000 offers committed to UT.

Well UT always gets the high profile in state guys so ofcourse Rivals is gonna pay more attention to that, but thats wierd they didn't talk about sleepers considering they always have a list of a few in each state. IT ALWAYS SEEMS LIKE UT HAS A CRAZY AMMOUNT OF COMMITS PRESEASON. They're probably about to start recruiting the class of '08

Stallion,

I have no problem with Rivals covering UT's recruiting. They are a national news service.

As I have argued countless times, the DMN is a local newspaper who should take more interest in the local team.

Warmest Regards,

I finally understand. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette, published, and printed in Little Rock should be headlining UALR and Pulaski Tech Community College and leave the stories on University of Arkansas to the Fayettville folks. That way they could increase their income tremendously by all the big supporters of UALR and PTCC and blow off the pesky readers that want to know about the biggest and most successful program in the State.

And, as has been pointed out countless times, the DMN is in the business only of selling papers.

You're right, we should just continue to build more empty facilities. That has proven to be effective in getting more people to the games and really helped our recruiting.

This from the person who said "mediocrity has helped recruiting?"

No, I said that it should help recruiting over the next couple of years. Some of you seem to think we are destined for an 8-9 win season and claim that Bennett should be fired if we don't make it. I just believe that is shortsighted. If we win 4-6 games as I expect, Bennett will hopefully recruit better than when we were 0-11. Building this program will be incremental.

A Ron Meyer turnaround is not around the corner.

No comparison, really....

U of Arkansas is ALL you got up there. Any other D-IA programs I don't know about?

Oh, sorry. ASU. (Only recently D-IA)

UofA plays half its home schedule in Litttle Rock - they're a hometown team.

Need I remind you, SMU plays its entire home schedule in Dallas.

Anybody see columnist Kevin Sherrington's DMN column this week?
It was 'wishes' for the future sports scene. Mack Brown, Mike Leach and Dennis Franchione all got a mention.

Phil Bennett?? SMU?? Still looking....
THAT's the Dallas Morning News.

Another thing,

In the Jonesboro, Arkansas paper (home of ASU), who do you think gets more ink, more human interest stories on a daily basis? ASU or Uof A? My bet is ASU.

Maybe you should have looked for the article about coaches who don't have any skins on the wall.
