Postby BringBackThePonies03 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 3:46 am

Hey I am out of town right now, but I know that they released the game at midnight tonight. I was wondering if anyone has purchased the game yet and played as SMU, I was wondering what some of our players were ranked at? And which of our freshman they put on the roster?

THANKS!!! GO PONIES!!!

Anybody ever pay to get the rosters imported? Or do it themselves? And I am buying my copy at lunch.

I bought a memory card and the device to transfer files from your computer to said memory card for the previous versions of the game (on the xBox). I have a 360 now so if anyone wants to buy this stuff for their regular xBox we can talk. I am thinking about getting it for the 360 - it makes the game a lot better.

I too bought it for the xbox and it was great to have the players names in it. If you are interested fkrosters.com is a great site to get the rosters and you can actually just buy the memory card preloaded with the rosters from them if you want.

The only thing I can tell you about the roster yet (I too will play at lunch) is that DeMyron got a lousy 82 overall rating. Sturdivant got an 88 or 89 and rodgers an 86.

For those that care...89 makes Joe between the 11-15th best strong safety in the entire game.

Bought it last night!

Demyron: Even though he got an 82 rating he is pretty dominant...Corso makes comments about his abilities the entire pre-game and game...His speed is a 92, so he burns past pretty much any lineman or linebacker...

Rogers: His speed off the end is amazing...Blows by and runs over tackles...Expect many sacks from him if you play a season...

Roster: They have Emmanuel Sanders returning kicks with Henderson...Paul Hiemenz starting linebacker...Johnnie Fitzgerald is Demyron's back-up...Bobby Chase #1 reciever, David Givens is the #2, Blake Warren is #3 and Pellerin is #4...Johnathan Lindley is one corner and I can't remember the other corner...Andrew McKinney starts at Fullback (use him, he's prettty fast)...

Ranking: Offense and Special teams are still C's but Defense is a solid B and you can see it...

Kicking is different and much harder...It will take time to get use to it...

Hope that helps...

Columbus Givens...Sorry...Buttons are the same...Kicking uses the Right toggle on the playstation 2...Kinda like hitting a ball in Tiger Woods...

Speaking of, does anyone know when Tiger Woods '07 comes out?
Just my two cents.

Is Chris Phillips listed as TE or QB?

My friend has paid to have the names added and then been nice enough to share it with me. It is a really nice addition to the game.

The only strategy you need to know is not to schedule Tech for the first game of the season.
Just my two cents.

I forgot to mention...Chris Phillips is nowhere to be found on the game...He is not a tight end nor a QB...I didn't look hard but noticed a #7 wasn't on either list...

That's not true.. Phillips is on there..

He's listed as a QB.. but is not the backup

And.. for those with a ps2 and interested in getting the roster on the game. Just mail a memory card to the guy at www.psxsports.com. He'll download the roster for every team so the correct names are there when you play. I've done this for the past 2 years and by the time the season starts.. you know all the players to watch.. pretty cool.
