until SMU steps up and beats Tech, this will be a difficult - or dare I say impossible - trend to reverse. Who was the last guy we signed after Tech offered?

Bryan McCann considered Texas Tech. So did Jeff Brock and Ross Nigh. The year before, Andrew McKinney considered Tech, as did Devin Lowery, Jonathan Lindley, Rey Pellerin and Lucky DeLay. The last player offered by Tech was Ryan Wolcott.

I might be wrong, but I took it as: Anyone can say they are considering something, did these guys actually have offers from Tech or are they just saying they considerd Tech?

If they in fact never got offers from Tech it would kinda be like me saying I was considering banging Pamela Anderson but instead chose the fat, homely looking chic at the bus stop. Considerations only matter if it is a vaiable option presented to you.

Sorry, I thought Stallion was just showing off his superior intellect again. Was looking for an excuse to use that line.

We could spin such things another way, too....

For instance:

SMU basketball coach Matt Doherty had head coaching stops at Notre Dame and North Carolina, which served him well as stepping stones on his way to the helm at the Hilltop.

I seem to recall Wolcott was invited to walk on at Tech but chose SMU when the scholarship was offered

were any of those other guys actually offered?
