It is a combo Mrydel. But the rankings of the players really matter. I haven't played enough to see if Adrian Peterson also fumbles a lot.

No but you did suggest that books, TV and movies are not real, offending mrydel's deep love of non-fiction, reality TV, and documentaries, all while touting how the game was "reminscent" of SMU's 2005 season highlite.

But then I'm not a video game aficionado.

It all depends. You can "tell" the RB's to protect the ball, jump or sprint or spin or dive or put the head down and drive, to juke left or right. You can tell defensive players to try and strip the ball, to swat at a ball in the air, to try and intercept, to go for a big hit. You can have receivers jump or dive, come back to the ball. As the QB, you can also get a receiver killed going across the middle.

There is, however, a random aspect to it, bot for the most part, you can avoid things by not putting the player in certain positions; the player won't just randomly drop the ball.

It's not the greatest photo - I had to blow it up a bit and rotate it accordingly - but it's a start. TCU makes a guest appearance on the cover - I thought about removing the purple but wanted to make sure everyone realized just who it was that DeMyron was destroying.

BTW, there is waaay too much celebrating in this game. Martin doesn't have to flex after a three yard gain on first down. And while it probably would happen, the Tulane wide receiver has no business highstepping into the endzone when his team was down 30-3 and I had subbed in the second string defense.

4-1, baby!

Do they only have announcers for the games that are televised? I don't normally have the sound on, but wanted to check it out. It was just the PA when I played SHSU. I checked the setting, and it was on normal.

I had Ford pumping at 8 DCB against UNT!!

With apologies to MrMustang1965, I let the computer play the SHSU game. Yes, I think announcers only show up on televised games. I don't know why that is. There should be a way to turn them on, I would think.

I don't know why but I always "ask Corso," just for the heck of it. In last year's game his advice wasn't half bad. In this game, it is absolutely ridiculous. He 90% of the time, he suggests one of the same five plays and they generally are unrelated to the game situation. He loves to pass on goal line situations.

I agree! I have gotten more celebration penalties than I ever have in any previous versions of the game. I'm only renting the game right now (hoping to get it as a birthday gift), and it doesn't include a instruction book. I haven't tried yet, but are the user celebrations available? In the past, you don't get penalties for those.

The instruction book for this game is terrible. It is six pages in tiny tipe and doesn't go over even the most basic commands. Basically, EA is saying, "Here is the new stuff, we assume you have bought a copy of this game the last few years and won't bother getting you up to speed." I joked before about getting the guide for free, but I am actually glad I have it now.

per the instruction book, i think they learned that our young can't read so there are video directions to learn the controls built into the game.

Played 2 games so far - our d-line hurt all 4 of techs qbs.

Against UNT Henderson had two kickoff runbacks for TDs and warren had 1 punt return for a TD.
Wouldn't that be nice.....not going to hold my breath though.

Do these outcomes stay the same if someone from Tech is playing the game?
