The SMU Mustangs may haul in one of their most talent classes ever this season. They have already picked up a commitment from three star offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus and have now landed another solid big man in Dallas Highland Park's Kelly Turner.
"I committed to SMU about three weeks ago," Turner said. "I really like the coaching staff. I'm comfortable because it's so close to home and I already know some people there."
Turner helped lead Highland Park to a class 4A state title, blocking for five star QB and Georgia signee, Matthew Stafford.
"I think I will probably end up as a guard because of my ability to pull, but I will play anywhere they need me on the line," Turner said. "I don't plan to take any other visits."
Turner was also an all-district selection as a junior.
