I do think the BE will still be an attractive conference whether they follow this 16 member group, or even go to 18 by including DePaul and taking both S.Fla (Fla recruiting and bowls) and Memphis (who might bring the all important Liberty Bowl).
The MWC could counter by expanding to 12 with the strongest 4 western WAC schools and those two conferences would then stand the best chance of inclusion in any BCS plan that dangles a carrot in front of the non-BCS conferences.
