Anyone have a clue where this kid may end up? I am betting UTEP with the whole problems with the law/drug problems (see Fred Rouse).

The paper said he's looking at an NAIA school.

He's going to Texas College, an historically African-American college located in Tyler, TX. It was founded in 1894.

does that tell you anything about his academic performance (even taking 'online' courses) that he cannot even tranfer to a Div-II school?

Well, he did quote Frederick Douglass on his way out the door.
"Frederick Douglass once said, 'No struggle, no progress.' I've had my share of struggles and now it's time for progress," Taylor said.

Texas College is the same place Mike Williams (UT DE) transferred to...assuming he will play one year and then try to get drafted.
"Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise."

That would be quite a jump from Div. 1-A to Div. II. You'd think he'd try for a Div. 1-AA team first. I know of one in Huntsville, TX that would welcome him with open arms!

The whole situation sucks, but I wish him the best. Maybe he can right the ship elsewhere.

Probably didn't qualify as a transfer, right? Not enough credits to pass...

Maybe he could have gotten a furlough on weekends from the prison.

UT wanted him out because they thought he had Lawrence Phillips-esque potential. UT Law friend said he is an outlaw.
