Duly noted. Sorry, I lived in South Orange County for 7 years, and I made it up for a few games with a friend. Honestly, and no antipathy intended in this remark, but I wouldn't know where South Central ends and Watts begins. It was all city to me.

California is the state sending the most kids to SMU this coming year outside of Texas. Lots of SoCal kids.........................

By the way, this kid reminds of the Cowboy defensive end who never saw the field but looks great in those Under Armour commercials. Great physical stats but he is playing against kids from those noted football powerhouses like Greenhill, ESD, Holland Hall of Tulsa, etc. You know, institutions that consistently produce great players - especially offensive linemen.....................................

You are so right. ESD amd the like have two to three good players ( Maybe ) Then factor in the lack of any financial hardship in life or need to buckle down and do something hard. I say risky.

I'd take all three of the Thornton brothers who came out of St. Mark's.

I would too but keep in mind, those Thornton kids had a daddy who was a pretty decent football player. Big difference from a kid from Nigeria who has played a couple of years of football.

Don't get me wrong - I think this Acho kid might make a decent player in Conference USA but USC or Texas???? I think they are falling in love with physical stats and watching him run over H. Thurston III and T. Winthorp IV every Friday night. The linemen he will face in practice each day at USC will eat him for a pre-breakfast snack.

And we too are building a fence to keep out the riff raff...just we convinced the whole Park Cities to do it for us.

We say this, but considering he got his USC offer after going to their camp and performing against some of the top prospects in the nation. This kid has the natural size and apparently has a serious motor...we would be very lucky is Sam choose to stay in town. Also can you imagine telling everyone that we beat out USC for a recruit...I would be content for the next five years on that one statement alone.

most of the 2a and 3a kids don't have trust funds larger than some small nations??????????????

Hold on a minute. Just because the kid is going to St. Mark's does not mean he is a trust fund baby. Perhaps his parents have made sacrifices in order to afford the tuition for St. Marks.

And re: the trust fund babies...529, man. 529. And with one of my kids (4 year old), I've got several more years that the money in that thing won't work if he goes to the home of the "Wonghorns," as he calls them.
