Not greyshirt. Is active; he left for SMU two weeks ago.
I will check into it, but I hope it is an oversight.

He hitched a ride in the Mustang Club mail car.

First I want want to apologize up front if young Mr. Smart has run into any difficulty. I truly look forward to his contributions to the team. It does remind me however of a young "stud" running back that signed with SMU the same year I did and every year for 4 years his car broke down on the way to 2-a-days causing him to miss the hot summer workouts. He always made it on time for the beginning of class but for some "unknown" reason he kept haivng a 2 week car problem in August.

Didn't classes start this past Thursday? How far is it from Marshall to Dallas?

FWIW...he is listed on the 2006 Roster on SMUMustangs.com.

He and Strodtman have not been assigned jersey numbers...what ever that means.

He drove to Dallas, and according to Coach Southern here in Marshall, he reported to SMU on the Monday following the All-Star game in Austin that sidelines the Rhodes kid with a shoulder injury.
He is not the second coming of Mike Singletary, but he is not afraid of a little caliente like those city fellers.
I know that I said that I thought he might actually play this year.
Was wrong. He is supposed to receive a redshirt. Might be a reason he has no number. He gets to do the "Rudy" thing this year.

Sorry. Bobby Bougeliase was one of the Manson Family murderers. Probably would have made a good linebacker though.
