Re: 1 voteThanks for the post Nacho. Here is another one about the ACC going to 12, not 10 or 11. My guess is that we will know tomorrow. I'll be glad when this is all over.

Re: 1 votePurely my own guess but I think the ACC has to expand. If they don't they may well lose FSU and even GT. They can't risk that. I see it as as close to a done deal as you can get. Get those dominoes ready. Glad to see that we are apparently ready.
Re: 1 voteThat is certainly a change from your posts earlier in the week when it seemed like you expected the Big East to remain intact and no ACC expansion. I guess the threats of leaving by FSU and GA Tech may turn the tides in favor of expansion. Where do you see us heading if expansion does indeed occur?
Kurt Basically, I'm a badass.
Re: 1 voteWord is that Duke will vote "yes" this week and Virginia will vote "no". The ACC schools realize expansion is necessary and will for in favor this week. We'll see.
SMU...2nd to None
Re: 1 voteThis is not mine but is from the Tulsa paper. It is probably extremely close (if not completely accurate) to being what will transpire:
West: Tulsa TCU SMU Houston Rice UTEP East: Tulane USM La Tech Army Navy Cincy (NMSU if Cincy goes to the BE) Army and Navy are football only. The others play all sports.
Re: 1 voteUTEP will stay in the WAC. They're not going anywhere. So many different scenarios.. I'm sick of even speculating.
Re: 1 voteNacho, is the Tulsa paper article about a reorganized C-USA aliegnment? I like their version of a conference like other people have written, this is making me crazy.
Sam I Am
Re: 1 voteI'd say this is a lot more likely...
Memphis-Cincinnati ECU-UAB Tulane-So Miss TCU-Houston ...part ways with the parttime members (Army, Charlotte, St. Louis), and add 1-3 fulltime members to keep CUSA alive. Candidates: SMU, Tulsa, Rice, Central Florida Sorry, but Marshall will always be located in small-town West Virginia and be add a lot to the travel budget. They would never get the votes of financially strapped Tulane, Houston or UAB.
