My son's football league uses NCAA rules as well. The only problem is that the Qtr's are only 8 minutes. With the new rules we get to play a whole lot less than we used to. Of course, the "experts" who run our league did not know that this rule adjustment was for TV reasons but they would hate to go against the NCAA rules we already play by. Except for the 10 other exceptions they have put in for kids under the age of 12 already.

while i still think the above statement is true

it appears the coaches are to blame - they had the opportunity to challenge this rule and they did not get thier act together
