I realize they are playing UT but they look flat out awful.

Probably looking ahead to next week. They should come back and win in the 2nd half.

Considering they were playing Texas on the road I thought they looked better then I thought they would. If we go in to that game overconfident (how is that even possible) we will get our butts kicked.

ShanD's brother had a nice game, 77 yds and a TD on 14 carries. Watching him run brings back some memories.

Was at the UT-NTU game and I agreee NTU looked pretty bad. They really had no chance. What happened to their running back Thomas? He had a good series at the beginning of the third quarter when they scored their only TD, but I didn't notice him or hear his name after that. Did he get hurt? He was their only weapon against Texas. Must say UT quarterback McCoy looked slick. Hope Willis can do as well.

he was just cramping. NTSU did have an 80 yard drive against UT which was surprising. Seriously, just how competitive did all of you expect NTSU to be against UT?

I expected them to be about as competitive as they were. UNT is certainly NOT a guaranteed game, but they are a very winnable game for us.

I htought UNT held their own on the line of scrimmage, botht he offensive and defensive lines. When UNT was on defense, UT had to counter, misdirect to get running lanes because UNT was not afraid of the pass, and UT was able to do that and use superior athleticism to score.

UNT on offense, the line was able to keep the UT dline from making a lot of plays. UT relied on team speed huge advantage to make plays.

Thomas I believe was just held out to keep him from getting hurt.

I think UNT at least has a good enough oline to keep our dline from dominating the line of scrimmage. They lack playmakers, and the quarterbacks don't throw well. Contain the RB and QB and we should be fine defensively. On offense, we need to open it up a bit. They aren't afraid to play the LBs close to the LOS, and their dline can hold their own. They are overly agressive, so misdirection could work, but we need to test their secondary and get them to back off.

UT scored enough to prove UNT is not in their class (Div. 1-a THAT IS).

So when you get beat by a 1AA team what will be your excuse? Get the laundry list ready...

UNT goes down

Postby Sam I Am » Sun Sep 03, 2006 9:11 am

UNT couldn't even beat SHSU if they played them this year. That's the Div. 1-aa loss the Denton green beans should worry about. The Sun Belt is a joke!
