who says you can't run that offense in wet conditions? The Receivers know where they are going the DBs don't. Now if it is a downpour that might affect things more.

Careful. I tried saying that and was told I was wrong. Wind is far worse than rain for a passing team, especially one that thrives on short passes. Now if you are in the stands, the opposite might be true.

BTW winds are supposed to be around 15 MPH from the North with temperatures dipping from about 67 to the upper 50s tonite. Might be tad uncomfortable.

The wind can cause the ball to drop quickly or sail on the QB. Only problem is the wind blows no matter which team is on offense.

Chuck Hixson was the best "into the wind" passer I ever saw when the wind was blowing hard. Much better than with a hard wind.

Raining in Lubbock
It's cold and raining in Lubbock.
When Keith and I arrived here for SMU-Texas Tech, we discovered the rain and the wind and the cold.
So, after a good lunch with Steve Orsini, the new SMU athletic director, we headed to Target and Big and Tall for some clothes.
I grabbed a long sleeve shirt and a rain hat.
Keith picked up a rain jacket.
The bad weather might help SMU keep this game close.
