UNT next week

is it smart to make any opinions about unt on how they played against the national champs and #3 team in the nation? No..

but lets remember last year that UNT atleast gave texas a game for the first half..

if you watch the highlights their (unt) tackling was god awful and their effort in trying to catch ut guys in the openfield was pathethic.. so I can make opinions on their effort and if they play that way against us, our offense will blow them up...if they try to tackle martin like that, he will break 50 tackles saturday night

This thread is actually exactly right on some things, and exactly wrong on a few.

First, you are right, the tackling did look awful. And yes, it was "decent" for a half.

Now, if you think Demyron Martin is in Jamaal Charles or Henry Melton's league then I can't wait until Saturday. And NOBODY on your team will approach UT's team speed. Period.

Am I guaranteeing an NT win? Nope, just saying don't get overly optimistic.

The long long wait for NTS is almost over, we've heard for years how bad you guy's were going to pound SMU, now you've got your chance at home.

Make no mistake, I still don't like SMU too much...especially since I deal with arresting at least one student per month. :wink:

With that said, I too am surprised this isn't ABC's game of the week.

I would be surprised if anyone on UT can match All-American kick returner Jessie Henderson's 4.24 40 yrd dash.

We'll be sure to introduce him on KO returns and all you Mean Green fans can wave at him as he races past your sideline. =)

well I guess you'd be wrong about that because Jamal Charles won both the Texas 5A 100 Meters as a High School Senior and the Big 12 100 Meters as a Freshman.

Jama*a*l Charles won the 5A 110m and 300m hurdles (top time in the US)...and yes, did win the Big 12 in the 100m with a 10.2something.

Jessie won the 4A 100m with a 10.45 as a sophomore in high school.

In pads, Jessie would hit the endzone a few steps ahead of Jamaal....throw some hurdles on the field and it's not even close.
