Bennett On Channel 8 Today

Coach Bennett will be appearing on Good Morning Texas on Channel 8 later today. He should be on around 9 a.m.

it was a good interview. Talked about his relationship with his players, past and current. Gave a lot of credit to Bill Snyder and Kansas State for his time there and how the community helped him through his tragedy.

Said that there is no reason why we should not be playing UNT and that he is good friends with the AD and coach there.

One of the reporters mentioned Sam is on the team and how special a relationship being coached by his father.

Thought it was really good pub for SMU.

No brainer on who is the favorite for Sat. We need our fans there!

That's the thing, Coach Bennett is a well-liked guy by fans, friends, other coaches, and the media. Norm Hitzges often gushes on and on about how he is the one of the nicest guys he's met in the sports world, and you know he's met thousands.

Here's hoping this weekend is the beginning of good things for Coach and SMU, and that nice guys don't always finish last.

Coach Bennett is easy to cheer for. No doubt at all. I think all of us want to end 18 years of pain with a winning season and a bowl appearance including Coach Bennett. We need some wins to get recruits to pay attention to the program. If that happens, I hope they give Bennett an solid extension.
