counterpoint anyone? Tonight's game=case for this argument. And the case against? Spare the 'fix the model first' b.s. The model doesn't commit penalty after penalty on kick returns. The model probably even knows how to stop the option. The model doesn't fail to make adjustments as the game progresses. The model doesn't choose to not solve the punt protection sieve situation.

there is no defense for this football program right now and therefore no defense for Bennett. Was there even one bright spot tonight? And this was the year we were supposed to turn it around?

Is there much precedent in college FB for a coach being fired mid-season? If not, this might be a good time to start.

Ron Zook's last year at Florida. Evidently Illinois didn't pay attention, either as they had their [deleted] handed to them by Rutgers today.

I know we won't gain on the field with a change right now, but it could a least give the new guy a chance to recruit whatever remaining talent is left in the State before it is too late!

I think Coach Doherty has it right. SMU is the "Duke of Dallas."

meaning we're destined to always suck at football, like the Duke of Durham?

Yes we lose in football just like Duke. Hope we can win in basketball like Duke in a few years!

im over this garbage football, get the coaches outta of there and clean house. we need better coaches who know more about what they're supposed to do so we start competing in games. we need an efficient offense and a somewhat stable defense...[deleted] progress and a bowl game
